Rolling up your sleeves and getting practical is a fantastic antidote to fear.

With this in mind, over the next three posts, I wanted to share my tried and tested, 3-step Creative Wardrobe formula so you can get busy, creating your own dream wardrobes from home.

In today's post, I'll guide you towards getting clear on your creative vision for your wardrobe by showing you how to create your own #MagicMoodBoard.

Magic Mood Board

Every Creative Wardrobe appointment starts with an hour of Magic Mood Boarding.

The board represents everything you want to bring into your life, from colours, to shapes, styles and even words that you love. If you find it in inspiring, don't think too much about why, just tear it out and stick it down. The end result will blow your mind. You'll find that the things on your board, just start to appear in charity shop windows and carboot sales! You can keep your board somewhere visible and take a look each day.

Step 1: Set The Scene!

You will need a large A2 white board (I get mine from a local art shop but you can find them on Amazon), a stack of old fashion magazines, scissors, pritt stick & some coloured pens. It is VITAL that you have your favourite music playing in the background to get the good vibes flowing. The art of manifesting is always intention so setting the space in advance of your work, is always a great idea so you can FEEL into the whole experience. Candles, palo santo, crystals etc... all a big YES.

Step 2: Action!

Take your magazines and start flicking through. Begin tearing out anything that catches your eye. You might find it's harder to begin with and you are overthinking the process but after a few minutes you'll get into your flow. Go bold with your vision. You don't need to play it safe anymore. This is your sacred space to create a new vision for yourself. Spot colours you love? Amazing - tear them out! A blouse that seems romantic and appealing? Get it on the board! After you have got a board's worth of inspiring images and words from your pile of now-battered magazines, you can start to cut around the figures. You'll end up with lots of amazing looks, vibes, colours and styles staring back at you.

Step 3: Conscious Curation!

Now it's time to plan out your Magic Mood Board. I always advise leaving a small square or rectangle in the top righthand corner to write out a mission statement for your Wardrobe Cleanse. You can organise areas such as "dream style", "work looks" , "weekend moods" , "colours" etc and start laying down and overlapping the mages as you like. Once you're completely happy with the layout, start sticking the looks down with intention, imagining actively bringing these pieces into your life as you do so. You can add any other bits you love to your board such as dried flowers, inspiring quotes, postcards etc.. Get creative!
.
Step 4: Manifest your Mission!

In the blank area at the top righthand corner of your board, decorate the border however you like to frame your mission statement. Then turn your desire for your upcoming Wardrobe Cleanse into a succinct mission statement. What is it you really want to achieve? Is it to make space? Is it to be more bold with your style? More grown up? How do you want to feel going forward? Clarifying this part can be very liberating! Then look at the board and write out all the specific things you have found that you would love to bring in i.e "colourful bag, 70s blouse" You can add more pieces as you realise what you need, throughout your cleanse.

If like me, you are a spiritual being, light some palo santo, close your eyes and start to take some deep breaths. Allow all that you've manifested on the board to settle and start to bring those joyful things in with every breath. Do this for as long as you like. You can bring your board with you to tomorrow's Wardrobe Cleanse.

Have the best time doing this!
